In other local cross-country news, Green Bay high schools honored former Green Bay West High School coach Don Buntman by naming the course at Colburn Park in his honor. An alum of Green Bay West himself, Buntman created the course in 1985 and has since hosted an estimated 1,000 races in its over 35-year history. Teams from Door and Kewaunee counties last competed on the course in 2021 as a part of the alternative fall season. Buntman received the honor as a part of the Green Bay City Meet on Thursday which was won by Green Bay Preble.
