Blowouts follow football teams across region

It was either trounce or get trounced on Friday as local teams found themselves on both sides of lopsided games.

 

The Gibraltar Vikings were able to avoid the drama on the gridiron as they scored touchdowns on six straight possessions to rout the host Wausaukee Rangers 53-22 Friday night.

 

The Algoma Wolves blitzed the Gillett Tigers 54-37 Friday night in Peninsula Conference football at Perry Field.

 

The Southern Door Eagles flew past the Marinette Marines 54-14.

 

The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans won the battle of the LCs at home on Friday, beating the Mustangs 35-14.

 

The Kewaunee Storm continued their perfect start to the season with a 42-7 win over Bonduel.

 

A safety accounted for the only points allowed by Sturgeon Bay in its 36-2 win over Peshtigo.

 

Sevastopol struggled in the matchup against NEW Lutheran/Oneida Nation, falling 39-6.
