DCU continues successful season

The success of the DCU girls' high school swim team continues with their conference win against Marinette on Thursday, September 21st, and their second-place finish at the Plymouth Panther Invite on Saturday, September 23rd.

 

The team continues to remain undefeated in the Bay Conference for the season. They have yet to score below 5th place at invitationals as well.

 

Senior Cassie Rankin (SEV)  finished 1st overall at the Panther Invite in the 200-yard freestyle and 3rd overall in the 500-yard freestyle. She was the top scorer for DCU as well, awarding the team 36 overall points. The next top scorer was senior Dancia Neville (SDHS) with her 1st-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke and 4th-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley, scoring 35 points for the team. The remaining seniors on the team also had success including Natalia Michalski’s (SBHS) finishes in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle scoring 26 overall points. Aurora Breci (SEV) scored 19 points and Paula Wienke (SBHS) scored 7 points. The team will take a short break but it will be back in competition at Shawano High School on Thursday, October 5th.
