Southern Door, Gibraltar win rivalry games; L-C on 104.1 WRLU Friday

The regular season ended for five of the area's seven football teams Thursday night with another two games scheduled for Friday.

 

The Southern Door Eagles' offense pulled away towards the end of the game to win the iconic Eagle-Clipper rivalry game 28-14 on U-102.1. 

 

Over on 105.1 the GOAT, the Gibraltar football team discovered their running game in a big way on Thursday night, beating their rivals Sevastopol 55-22 in Fish Creek.

 

The Algoma Wolves ended their season with a 52-20 win over Suring on the program's senior night. 

 

Friday's slate includes the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans traveling to Wrightstown Friday to take on the Tigers with the opportunity to win an outright North Eastern Conference football championship. The pregame is set for 6:45 p.m. on 104.1 WRLU and the kick-off is set for 7 p.m. from Wrightstown.  Paul Schmitt and Henry Annen will have the play-by-play of the game which will also be streamed on New Radio Sports Network.

 

Kewaunee will try to keep their perfect season intact when they head to Peshtigo for a 7p.m. kickoff.
