Clippers start rain-soaked weekend with loss on The Pirate

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers soccer lost their final regular season home game on Thursday ahead of a weather-impacted weekend of additional matches.

The Rockets were able to keep their lone goal as the difference in the match to capture the victory and give the Clippers their first loss since September 8th when they gave Green Bay Preble all they could handle.

The rest of the weekend is up in the air thanks to the weather. Friday's rains have already canceled their match against Luxemburg-Casco. A road match at Pulaski is still on the schedule for Saturday with the Raiders' turf field being a saving grace. If it is played, the kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m.

Other matches played on Thursday include Gibraltar/Sevastopol at Green Bay East and Kewaunee playing at Peshtigo. Results were not shared for either match.
