Lady Phoenix pick up exhibition victory

The Green Bay women's basketball kicked off their season Wednesday night with a dominant 74-36 exhibition victory against UW-Stout.

Every Phoenix player was able to enter the game to assist in the win, limiting the Blue Devils to just 23 percent shooting from the field and outrebounding them 40-23. Maddy Schreiber led the way with 13 points. Natalie McNeal and Callie Genke added 12 points apiece, and Cassie Schiltz chipped in 11 points.

The exhibition was a homecoming for Blue Devils coach Hannah (Quilling) Iverson, who was a part of one of the most successful stretches of Phoenix women's basketball in program history.

The Lady Phoenix will have another exhibition contest next Wednesday against Northern Michigan before opening the regular season at Northern Iowa on November 6th.
