An overtime goal helped the Green Bay Gamblers ward off the Muskegon Lumberjacks 3-2.
After a scoreless first period, Julian Lutz and Lev Katzin staked the Gamblers to a 2-0 with goals in the second period. The Lumberjacks would force overtime with two goals of their own in the third period. Halfway through the extra stanza, Chris Romaine's first goal of the season helped the Gamblers secure the weekend opening win.
The Gamblers and Lumberjacks are back at it Saturday night at 6:10 p.m.
