Phoenix pulls away from Fighting Saints in victory

What was a close game at halftime for the Green Bay Phoenix men turned into a comfortable 72-56 victory over St. Francis (Ill.) Thursday night.

The Phoenix and the Fighting Saints exchanged blows throughout the first half as the two teams played to a 31-27 halftime score. A 10-0 run early in the second half stole the hopes of the upset-minded Fighting Saints. The Phoenix had three players finish with double figures, led by Noah Reynolds' 23 points. Reynolds finished the night with a double-double as he also registered ten assists. The Phoenix's Elijah Jones missed out on a double-double with 19 points and eight rebounds.

On Tuesday, the Phoenix will travel to Valparaiso to face the newly-named Beacons for a 7 p.m. tip. The Fighting Saints will continue their string of three exhibitions with a pair of games against St. Edward's University on November 16th and 18th.
