The Wisconsin Badgers trailed by as many as 25 points and never led in the game as they suffered a 72-59 road loss to the Providence Friars Tuesday night in the Gavitt Tipoff Games.
The Friars took a commanding 27-9 lead early and never were seriously challenged by a Badger team that shot only 33 percent from the field.
AJ Storr led Wisconsin with 22 points, and freshman John Blackwell added 11 points with five rebounds.
Wisconsin (1-2) will host the Robert Morris Colonials Friday night at the Kohl Centre at 6 p.m.
