Spartans ready for State Title game with Don Hutson Center practice

The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans had the unique opportunity to practice on the same field the Green Bay Packers use for preparation every week in the NFL on Tuesday.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Spartans ran through a practice at the Don Hutson Center across from Lambeau Field in Green Bay to practice on a turf field similar to the one at Camp Randall Stadium.

The only other area team at the State finals, the Wrightstown Tigers, a Spartan foe from the NEC, also practiced at the Don Hutson Center.

The Spartans (12-1) are preparing for their first state championship football game on Thursday night in the school’s history.  Luxemburg-Casco faces the undefeated Lodi Blue Devils (13-0) in the Division 4 state final at 7 p.m.

Luxemburg-Casco School District will dismiss early on Thursday and have no school on Friday to allow the community, staff, and students to attend the game and enjoy the historic experience for the school.

U102.1 and the New Radio Sports Network will be broadcasting and streaming the game starting at 6:40 p.m. with the pre-game show from Madison.
