Packers power down Chargers

The Green Bay Packers head into a short week on a high note after beating the Los Angeles Chargers 23-20 at Lambeau Field on Sunday.

The Chargers opened the scoring late in the first quarter with a field goal before the two teams traded touchdowns on consecutive drives. The Packers' score came from Jayden Reed, who showed his speed on a 32-yard running play. Anders Carlson, who had an uneven day with a couple of misses on extra points and field goals, drilled a 28-yard field goal to tie the game at ten at the break.

The two teams would exchange the lead four times in the second half with touchdown passes to Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson on either side of a Chargers' field goal to start the third quarter and a touchdown pass to Keenan Allen. The Chargers would have one last chance to score, but they turned the ball over on downs to give the Packers the victory.

The Packers will cram a full week of practices in just a few days as they prepare to head to Detroit on Thursday for a Thanksgiving tilt against the division-leading Lions.
