Phoenix men play two at Montana State

The Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team will make the most of their trip to Bozeman with a pair of games over the next two days.

The Phoenix are coming off a 64-59 loss to Valparaiso last week. The team let a 31-26 first-half lead slip away and fell to the Beacons on the road in Horizon League action. The Phoenix were led by Noah Reynolds, who poured in 24 points, and Elijah Jones added 13 more with 15 boards.

On Monday, the team will face Montana State, who have started the campaign 2-1 after wins over Northwest Indian College and California, and a loss to Seattle University. The Phoenix will have to pick their poison with four Bobcats players averaging in double figures, including over 16 ppg from Brandon Walker.

The Phoenix will play in Bozeman again on Tuesday to face UC Riverside on a neutral court. The Highlanders have dropped three straight games since an opening night victory against UC-Merced. They have also faced tough opponents since then with losses to Utah and North Carolina among the defeats.

Both games are slated to start at 8 p.m.
