Gamblers survive Capitols scare

The Green Bay Gamblers nearly saw its 4-1 lead evaporate on Wednesday night but held onto beat the Madison Capitols 4-3.

The Gamblers scored twice in the first and second period to set the tone early before the Capitols made things interesting in the final frame. Blake Bechen and Ben Poitras provided the scoring in the first period while Libor Nemec and Brady Zugec scored in the second. Nine different Gamblers registered at least one point in the game. Gajan stopped 24 of the 26 shots he faced.
