Packers cut two players

With several players returning to practice on Monday, two players were cut from the Green Bay Packers' roster.

General Manager Brian Gutekunst kicked off the week with the announcement that the organization had cut WR Bo Melton and RB James Robinson. There is a chance they could stick with the team on the practice squad. ESPN LaCrosse's Paul Bretl says the Packers have two practice squad openings and worked out six players on Monday, including three tight ends and two running backs. The Athletic's Matt Schneidman reported several Packers players returning to the practice field after missing last Thursday's game against the Lions:

Present but not practicing today:
A. Jones
Dillon
Deguara

Released:
Melton
J. Robinson

Practicing after missing game:
Alexander
Campbell
Wicks
R. Ford

Stokes back practicing and designated to return off IR. Savage still practicing.
