Packers look to stop setbacks vs. Buccanneers

The Green Bay Packers will try to avoid walking the playoff plank for a second straight week when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers come to Lambeau Field on Sunday.

Interceptions, fumbles, and missed field goals proved to be too much for the Green Bay Packers to overcome in their 24-22 loss to the New York Giants on Monday night despite a sizable contingent of green and gold-clad fans in MetLife Stadium. The Packers were lucky to enter the second half with a slim 10-7 lead after Jordan Love fumbled away one ball and threw an interception on subsequent drives before ending the frame with a field goal. The Packers would take a slim one-point lead after kicking a field goal and Love finding Malik Heath on a touchdown pass with just over 1:30 remaining. The Giants took advantage of the Packers' soft zone to drive into field goal range, where Randy Bullock split the uprights to win the game. Love went 25-39 for 218 yards with a touchdown and an interception to his credit, while A.J. Dillon led the rushing attack with 53 yards on 15 carries in the loss.

The Bucs have won two straight games to put them in the playoff picture at 6-7. Baker Mayfield threw for 144 yards and two touchdowns, and Rachaad White ran for 102 yards in the Bucs' 29-25 win over Atlanta a week ago.

If you are heading to the game, the Southern Door choir is scheduled to perform outside the gates along with De Pere and Preble high schools to help get fans into a festive mood ahead of the game, which kicks off at noon.
