Packers' LaFleur to keep Barry around

Green Bay Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur told reporters on Monday that he does not plan to make any drastic changes to his coaching staff heading into the season's final games.

Some thought Monday was going to be a funeral for defensive coordinator Joe Barry, who has seen his defense get embarrassed by New York Giants rookie backup quarterback Tommy DeVito on a national stage and allowed the Tampa Bay Buccanneers' Baker Mayfield post the first perfect quarterback rating by an opponent in Lambeau Field history on Sunday.

"If I thought that was the best solution today, then we'd make that decision," LaFleur said on Packers.com. LaFleur blamed communication problems between coaches and players that allowed people to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. "When you're having basic communication problems, and you're supposed to be in a certain coverage or a certain rotation, and we're not getting that communication … it always starts with us," he said.

The Packers will likely need to win out to secure its spot in the playoffs, including a victory on Sunday at Carolina.
