Phoenix men and women close out non-conference schedule with win

The Green Bay Phoenix men will try to do what their counterparts on the women's side has already done this week: end their non-conference schedule with a win.

The Phoenix women sprinted past UW-Parkside in a 94-55 rout. Five Phoenix players posted double-figure point totals as the team scored at least 25 points in the first three quarters and shot over 67 percent from the field. Luxemburg-Casco product Cassie Schiltz led all scorers with 16 points as the Phoenix improved to 8-3 on the season.

The Phoenix men will face Milwaukee School of Engineering at the Resch Center Thursday night after getting blown out last Saturday by nationally-ranked Oklahoma. While Noah Reynolds leads the team in scoring and assists, a lot of the attention lately has been placed on freshman David Douglas, Jr., who has reached double figures in scoring in each of the last three games. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
