SBS' LeMieux wins second straight tournament

It was a busy end of the week for the area's girls' wrestlers.

Three of Southern Door's four girls placed in the top three at Friday's Wrightstown Wrestling Tournament Friday night, leading them to a sixth-place finish. Nora LeFevre led the Eagles with a 3-1 record on her to second-place finish, losing her first match of the season to Two Rivers' Angie Bianchi. Hailey Veeser and Kailyn Neville also went 3-1 on the day, but fell in the semifinals before winning their third-place matches. Delaney Wilke started the day with a pin, but ended it going 1-2.

It was another week, another tournament championship for Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol's Tiani LeMieux. LeMieux pinned all four wrestlers she faced in less than a minute to win her second tournament in as many weeks. Lanie Brauer split her two matches to take eighth place.

Luxemburg-Casco's two female wrestlers had good showings at Friday's Wrightstown Ladies Tournament. Kiley Georgel took second place after dropping her first match of the season in the championship match. Evelyn Lange rebounded from a first-round loss to win her next three matches before losing her fifth-place match.
