Phoenix basketball teams look to serve home cooking this weekend

It is four straight days of Titletown-based matinees for the Green Bay Phoenix basketball programs, as the men and women play on alternating days.

Friday and Sunday will feature the men at the Resch Center as they face Wright State and Robert Morris for noon games. The Phoenix enter the matchups with confidence after beating Milwaukee School of Engineering last week 79-46. David Douglas Jr. and Marcus Hall led the Phoenix with career-highs in points at 15 points and 12 points, respectively. Noah Reynolds added 10 points, four assists, and two steals in the victory.

Saturday and Monday will see the girls at the Kress Events Center with matchups against Cleveland State and Purdue Fort Wayne for 1 p.m. starts. The Phoenix have bounced back from a heartbreaking loss to DePaul with three straight wins, including a 94-55 win over UW-Parkside ahead of the Christmas break.
