Schiltz's big day leads Phoenix women past Vikings

A career-high from Luxemburg-Casco alum Cassie Schiltz gave the Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team the boost it needed to get past the Cleveland State Vikings 85-72 in a Saturday matinee.

The two teams traded the lead several times in the first two quarters with the Phoenix taking a 46-44 advantage into the break. The Phoenix defense clamped down on the Vikings in the third quarter, outscoring them 22-13 in the frame and giving them a lead they would not give up.

Schiltz led the Phoenix with 27 points, thanks in part to six made three-pointers. Maddy Schreiber (16 pts), Natalie McNeal (10 pts), Jasmine Kondrakiewicz (10 pts), and Jenna Guyer (10 pts) also cracked double figures for the Phoenix. Mickayla Perdue scored 23 points to pace the Vikings in the loss.
