The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team made it eight straight wins as they led nearly wire-to-wire in their 85-47 win over Youngstown State Thursday night.
The Phoenix registered at least 21 points in the first three quarters while limiting the Penguins to less than 25 percent shooting from the field, including 15 percent from behind the arc. The Penguins led 3-2 in the opening minutes, but the Phoenix outscored them 22-11 the rest of the quarter to bring the game back to reality.
Three Phoenix players scored in double figures, led by Jasmine Kondrakiewicz's 16 points, Cassie Schiltz's 15 points, and Natalie McNeal's 14 points. Abby Liber and Haley Thierry each scored 10 points to lead the Penguins in the loss.
