Phoenix women drub Colonials

A 26-7 run in the third quarter took away any doubt as the Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team won convincingly over Robert  Morris on Saturday. 72-40.

It did not start well for the Phoenix as they were down 5-0 after three minutes of play. The Phoenix would outscore the Colonials 16-4 the rest of the first quarter, a sign of how the rest of the game would go for the home team. The Colonials would get the game to within one point in the second quarter, but an 8-0 Phoenix run would set the wheels in motion for the second rout of the week.

Natalie McNeal led the team with 18 points, while Maddy Schreiber scored 12 points, and Jenna Guyer added 10 points. Simone Morris and Madison O'Dell each scored 11 points in the loss for the Colonials.

The Phoenix improved to 7-0 in the Horizon League, a mark they will bring with them to Michigan next weekend when they play Detroit Mercy on Thursday and Oakland on Saturday.
