Packers blow past Cowboys in NFC Wild Card opener

The Green Bay Packers left the over 93,000 in attendance and millions watching at home in shock Sunday evening as they throttled the Dallas Cowboys 48-32.

The Packers scored six touchdowns on its first seven possessions to keep the Cowboys chasing them all night. Aaron Jones scored the game's first two touchdowns from inside the five-yard to stake the Packers to a 14-0 lead, with Dontayvion Wicks catching a touchdown pass from Jordan Love to make it 21-0. The real back-breaking play happened in the final two minutes of the half when Darnell Savage grabbed the second interception of the game against Dak Prescott and took it 64 yards for the defensive score and a 27-0 lead. The Cowboys would score to end the half with a touchdown and start the following half with a field goal to narrow their deficit to 27-10. The Packers kept coming, with Jones trading touchdowns with the Cowboys before Love found Romeo Doubs and Luke Musgrave for touchdowns to make it 48-16 early in the fourth quarter. A pair of touchdowns to the Cowboys' Jake Ferguson would pad the stats for Dallas, but it would ultimately end in the Packers' third playoff win at AT&T Stadium, including their Super Bowl XLV win.

Love ended the day shy of a perfect passer rating with 272 yards and three touchdown passes. Jones rushed for 118 yards and three scores, while Doubs led all receivers with six catches for over 150 yards.

The Packers know they will head to San Francisco for the NFC Divisional Round next weekend, but the date and time have not been determined.
