Adrian Griffin’s tenure as the head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks ended Tuesday as the team announced the firing of the first-year coach. In a press release, Bucks general manager Jon Horst said, “We are working immediately toward hiring our next head coach. We thank Coach Griffon for his hard work and contributions to the team.”
Griffin led the Bucks to a 30-13 record after replacing Mike Budenhozer, who was fired last summer after losing to the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs.
Top assistant Joe Prunty will take over as the interim head coach as the Bucks look for a permanent replacement for Griffin.
The Bucks defeated the Detroit Pistons 122-113 on Monday and host the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
