Girls Basketball Roundup: Sevastopol wins in double OT, Kewaunee upset by Oconto

The local girl's basketball schedule saw closely contested games on Tuesday night as the top team in the Packerland Conference suffered their first defeat.

 

In Kewaunee, the Storm fell late to the Oconto Blue Devils 54-47 to see their 17-game winning streak end.

 

It took double overtime for the Sevastopol Pioneers to come away with a thrilling 36-35 win over the Algoma Wolves, as Libby Ash hit a free throw in the second OT for the win.

 

In Sturgeon Bay, the Southern Door Eagles held on for a 42-30 win over the Clippers as Payton Gilbertson scored a game-high 19 points.

 

The Gibraltar Vikings lost a heartbreaker at home, 40-39, as the Peshtigo Bulldogs rallied from a three-point deficit at halftime. 

 

In the North Eastern Conference, the Luxemburg-Casco lost to their rival Denmark 54-45 on the road.
