Girls round-up: Wolves girls sink Vikings on the road on 105.1 the GOAT

The Packerland Conference title will go down to a final day on Thursday after an exciting Monday night of action.

 

The Kewaunee Storm girls' basketball team remains tied atop the Packerland Conference after beating Sturgeon Bay Monday night 56-14. The Storm will play for at least a share of the Packerland Conference when they play Algoma on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. 

 

The Sevastopol Pioneers girls' basketball team can clinch a share of the Packerland Conference title with a win on Thursday after beating fellow conference leader Oconto 49-39 on Monday night. The Pioneers play Peshtigo on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and can get a share of the conference title with a win and capture it outright with a win and a Kewaunee loss to Algoma.

 

In what head coach Mark Zastrow called their most complete game of the season, the Algoma Wolves girls' basketball team used timely shooting and a strong defensive effort to beat Gibraltar on the road 55-33 Monday night on 105.1 The GOAT.

 

Southern Door was edged on the road in Green Bay 48-43 by NEW Lutheran.

 

Luxemburg-Casco could not climb out of a 17-point halftime deficit in its 58-43 loss to Valders.
