Phoenix women grind out win against Colonials

The Green Bay Phoenix won their third straight game on Thursday as they beat Robert Morris 60-50 on the road.

The game was tight for three quarters as the Colonials drew to within one point entering the fourth. That stretch include an offensive struggle in the second quarter when just 14 points were scored. The Phoenix took control in the final period, outscoring the Colonials 22-13, including 12 made free throws.

Luxemburg-Casco product Cassie Schiltz led the way with 14 points, while Jenna Guyer tallied 13 points off the bench. Bailey Butler and Natalie McNeal also cracked double figures in the win for the Phoenix.

The Phoenix wrap up their swing out east on Saturday with a 12:30 p.m. tip against Youngstown State.
