One of the top-scoring teams in the conference did just that against the Green Bay Phoenix men Friday night as Purdue Fort Wayne won the game 85-59.
The Mastodons finished the game shooting 50.8 percent from the field thanks in part to outscoring the Phoenix 40-28 in the paint. Will Eames led the Phoenix with 19 points while Clarence Cummings III added 13 points, and Elijah Jones contributed 12 points.
The Phoenix men are back in the action, but the women will have their chance to right the ship again at the Kress Center on Saturday with a 1 p.m. matinee against Detroit Mercy.
