WIAA Boys' Basketball Tournament kicks off with three games on NRSN

The area's boys' basketball teams will begin their road to Madison on Tuesday with their opening round games.

 

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers boys' basketball team begins their journey to Madison from the friendly confines of their own gym on Tuesday when they welcome Menominee Indian. Jacob Nate and Matt Malvitz will have the call from Sturgeon Bay on U-102.1 and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the 7 p.m.

 

The tournament road begins in Green Bay Tuesday night for Luxemburg-Casco as the #11 Spartans will face the #6 Notre Dame Tritons in a WIAA Division 2 regional quarter-final. The game will be broadcast on 104.1 WRLU and streamed on New Radio Sports Network starting at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame and tipoff at 7:00 p.m.   Paul Schmitt and Eric Fischer will have the call from Notre Dame Academy. 

 

The road to Madison will take a familiar detour for the Gibraltar boys' basketball team as they open the WIAA Tournament on the road at Florence on Tuesday night. Tim Kowols will have the call from Florence on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the tip-off at 7 p.m. The winner will take on the winner of Niagara/Lena on Friday.

 

Other opening-round games include Sevastopol traveling to Gillett and Algoma visiting Weyauwega-Fremont. Both games start at 7 p.m.
