Notre Dame Academy girls goes for unprecedented "Four-peat" at state

History may be made on the Green Bay basketball court at the Resch Center this weekend.  The Notre Dame Tritons (27-1) are returning to the WIAA Division 2 girls basketball State Championship Tournament and trying to win their fourth consecutive state title.  The winning of four straight championships has never been accomplished in the tournament.   Notre Dame, seeded #2,  has beat Pewaukee, seeded #1, the past two years to claim the championship and will begin playing Friday afternoon against #3 Wauwatosa East (23-5) this weekend.  The Championship Final will be on Saturday at 6:35 p.m.  Notre Dame and Pewaukee could match up in the championship again as Pewaukee will play #4 West Salem before the Triton’s semi-final game on Friday.  The Tritons lost by eight points to Pewaukee earlier this season in a non-conference battle.
