Kress Center hosts Phoenix tournament doubleheader

Trips to Indianapolis are on the line Thursday night when they Green Bay Phoenix women host Youngstown State and the men battle UW-Milwaukee.

 

The Phoenix women were a perfect 13-0 at home before falling late to UW-Milwaukee on Saturday behind four All-Conference selections. The Penguins earned their spot in the quarterfinals after throttling IUPUI 73-50 on Tuesday. The two sides will play their third game against each other at 5:30 p.m.

 

The Phoenix men will get a third crack against Milwaukee when the two teams play at 8 p.m. The Panthers got the last laugh on Saturday when they blew past the Phoenix late in the second half for a 90-69 victory. They survived their game against Detroit on Tuesday to earn the trip to Green Bay. The Phoenix will get a boost when Noah Reynolds returns to the lineup after nursing a sprained ankle.
