Sevastopol and Luxemburg-Casco led the way among local teams in the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association's announcement of the Academic All-State teams on Monday.

According to WisSports.net, this requires that nominated athletes be varsity players from any grade level and hold a GPA of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale). These players will receive a WBCA certificate from their school. Over 1800 girls' basketball players have met the minimum requirement to be recognized as WBCA All-State.
