WIAA State Boys Basketball Tournament hits full throttle Friday

The Kohl Center will be rocking on Friday for a full day of WIAA State Boys Basketball Tournament action. 

 

This year's tournament lacks teams from the immediate area, with Kiel and Neenah the closest teams to Door and Kewaunee counties participating. Division 3 and Division 4 opened the tournament on Thursday before Divisions 1, 2, and 5 play all day on Friday. On Saturday, the three-point contest kicks off the day at 9:30 a.m., followed by the championship games beginning at 11:30 a.m. with Division

Semifinals - Thursday, March 14
Game-1:  #1 St. Thomas More (28-1) 68 vs. #4 Prescott (21-7) 45 
Game-2:  #2 Lakeside Lutheran (27-2) 57 vs. #3 Kiel (28-1) 55 

Championship Final - Saturday, March 16
Game-3:  St. Thomas More (28-1) vs. Lakeside Lutheran (27-2) - Approx. 15 minutes following Div. 4 championship game

 

DIVISION 4
Semifinals - Thursday, March 14
Game-1:   #4 Kenosha St. Joseph Catholic (20-9) 46, #1 Marathon (27-2) 37 - 
Game-2:   #2 Mineral Point (26-2) 62, #3 Aquinas (23-5) 61

Championship Final - Saturday, March 16
Game-3:  Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2 - Approx. 15 minutes following Div. 5 championship game
