The Milwaukee Brewers lost a 6-1 decision to the Colorado Rockies in the final game of Spring Training.
The Brewers collected nine hits in the game but only managed to tally one run in the fifth inning against the Rockies.
Carlos Rodriguez collected three hits in three plate appearances for the Brewers, and Ernesto Martinez uhad the lone RBI.
Starting pitcher Aaron Ashby, who is trying to bounce back from an injury-plagued 2023 season, took the loss going 5.1 innings for the Brewers and allowed four earned runs while striking out four.
Milwaukee finished the exhibition season 16-15 and will now travel to New York for the season opener as they play the Mets at Citi Field at 12:10 p.m. on Friday. The game was moved one day later because of a rain forecast for Thursday. Freddy Peralta will get the start for the Brewers and Jose Quintana will take the mound for the Mets.
