Several softball teams will beat the weekend rains with games on Friday after Luxemburg-Casco and Gibraltar/Washington Island had mixed results on Thursday.

The Luxemburg-Casco softball team plated three runs in the first inning and never looked back in an 8-1 victory over Little Chute Thursday night.

Emilie Glocke was touched up for eight runs (7 ER) in just one inning of work as the Gibraltar Vikings lost 13-3 in five innings on Thursday.

Friday's action includes Sevastopol traveling to Oconto for a doubleheader (3 p.m.), Luxemburg-Casco welcoming Denmark for a two-game set (4 p.m.)
