The Sports Page broadcast from The Ladder House last night featured Joe Witt from Witt Peninsula Ford. We talked about the Packers, Brewers and Bucks. The NBA Draft takes place this evening and the Bucks have the eighth pick.
The ore-draft consensus has West Virginia's Joe Alexander heading to the Bucks at eight. However, Joe Witt believes there may be a trade in the works. He would not be surprised to see Michael Redd offered in a trade to move up to the number two or three spot in the draft in exchange for the Olympic shooting guard.
If Milwaukee moves up, O.J. Mayo or Michael Beasley could be available for the taking. The draft takes place this evening at 7:00 PM. We will have Bucks draft coverage coming up n our sports report tomorrow.

Packers Take Big Step In Offseason Training Program
By Nick Freimuth DoorCountyDailyNews.com
June 21, 2008

The Green Bay Packers ended this week's mandatory mini-camp with heightened expectations for the 2008 NFL season. First year players and free agents are feeling more in tune with what the organization expects. The players have no mandatory obligations until July 27, when training camp begins.
This offseason, the Packers had the best attendance at their non-mandatory practices and meeting that they have seen throughout the first three years of head coach Mike McCarthy’s tenure. The offseason workout schedule is especially important for players like free agent acquisition Brandon Chillar. The linebacker talked about what he was able to accomplish during OTA's and mini-camp.
(Audio Here)
The Packers have an abbreviated training camp schedule compared to years past. The team will play four preseason games within 18 days. That does not allow for as much learning on the practice field. Instead, young players will be learning a lot more in live game situations during the exhibition season.
Second year wide receiver James Jones knows the feeling that this year's crop of rookies is feeling. Being one year removed from that role himself, Jones has extended himself to second round draft pick Jordy Nelson. Jones said if he can help in any way, he will be glad to make this team better.

The practice field featured more marquee names this offseason than in any previous season. From starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers to aging veterans like Charles Woodson and Al Harris, Green Bay is sending the signal that they intend to contend again in 2008.
