The Badgers men’s basketball team seems to have found what they lost mid-way through the season. After a (16-0) start UW fell out of the top-five national ranking but has been climbing back for four weeks. Wisconsin appears poised to challenge for a number one or number two seed in the NCAA Tournament. They would need to win out and win the Big Ten Tournament for that to happen.
They did take another step in the right direction Sunday. A 71-66 victory over Penn State included a Josh Gasser 15 point effort. Back court mate Ben Brust added 14 points and Traevon Jackson poured in 13 to make it a guard dominated team yesterday.
The win moves Bucky to (24-5) overall and (11-5) in the Big Ten. UW will next play Wednesday night against Purdue.
