The Milwaukee Brewers took a 4-0 lead into the sixth inning, only to see the Oakland Athletics come back and win on a walk-off home run 6-4 at Phoenix Municipal Stadium yesterday.
Willy Peralta made his first start of the spring going three innings, striking out three and only allowing one hit. Tyler Thornburg, who is competing for a bullpen spot, pitched three innings and looked much better than his first spring work a week ago. He struck out three in three innings giving up two hits.
Offensively, Jonathan Lucroy, Logan Schafer and Caleb Gindl each had two hits.
Brewers are back in action today for a rematch against the Oakland Athletics for a 2:05PM start. Today’s game will be played at the Brewers spring training ball park in Maryvale. Yovani Gallardo will make his second start of the spring.
