After winning two in a row, the Milwaukee Brewers were unable to get the bats going in their 6-2 loss yesterday to the San Diego Padres. After mustering twelve hits Thursday, the Brewers only recorded three hits Friday.
Matt Garza made his second start of the spring, and struggled for the second straight time. In three innings of work, Garza gave up six hits and three runs (two earned) through two innings, but finished strong striking out the side in the third.
Offensively, the only spark came from Scooter Gennett who hit a two run home run in the sixth inning.
The Brewers are in action this afternoon when they will host Norichika Aoki and his new team the Kansas City Royals. First pitched is scheduled for 2:05PM with Marco Estrada making his third spring start.
