Coming into Saturday, Yovani Gallardo had gone four starts without a decision and was still perfect without a loss. Those streaks came to an end in the Brewers 6-2 Loss in game three to the Cincinnati Reds.
Gallardo finished going six innings, gave up four runs, nine hits and struck out just one. Behind little run support, Gallardo’s only real jam came in the fourth when the Reds tagged him for three runs.
Offensively, the Brewers only had three hits and two went for home runs. Aramis Ramirez hit his fourth of the year in the second inning to give the Brewers an early lead and Mark Reynolds hit his seventh in the fifth to cut the Reds lead 3-2. Jean Segura had the third hit.
The Brewers look to avoid a series loss to the Reds Sunday when Kyle Lohse gets the start. Lohse will face Alfredo Simon. Both pitchers are 4-1. First pitch is at 3:05PM.
