The Green Bay Packers added five more players to the roster during last night’s N-F-L draft. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers received two additional weapons in wide receivers Jared Abbrederis and Jeff Janis, while the defense got some help with linebacker Carl Bradford and cornerback Demetri Goodson.
Former Wisconsin Badgers wide receiver and Wisconsin native, Jared Abbrederis is staying in the state. The Green Bay Packers selected Abbrederis in the 5th round in last night’s N-F-L Draft, 176th overall. Surprisingly, it’s the first time the Packers drafted a Wisconsin player in the draft since 2001. Teammate Beau Allen was also drafted in last night’s final round… the defensive tackle is headed to the Eagles (7th round, 224 overall pick).
The Packers also picked up several priority undrafted free agents… notables include Missouri quarterback James Franklin and Florida State fullback Chad Abram.
