A postponement of the "Great Lakes Classic" on July 7 due to high winds forced the first annual event to be rescheduled. Tournament director Kevin Naze said 1, 2 and 3-person teams can start to prepare for an August 4 tournament. The Algoma Great Lakes Classic Salmon/Trout Fishing Contest will include a 110 percent payback in cash and prizes.
Anglers have the option to join any of the separate divisions including the solo, 2-person and 3-person team categories. In order to fish anglers must pay $25 per person and will be offered an additional $10 per team option for the exciting “King of Kings” (biggest salmon of the tournament regardless of division).
