The night before the Packerland Conference boys soccer title was to be decided between Sturgeon Bay and N.E.W Lutheran, Gibraltar/Sevastopol nearly upset the Blazers. A 2-1 loss for Northern Door showed they will be a serious threat in the postseason. N.E.W. is ranked number three in the state and just held off Gibraltar/Sevastopol. Dakota Zinser and Andrew Froelich scored the Green Bay area school's goals. That sets up a conference title match today. If Sturgeon Bay wins, they own the championship outright. A Clippers loss means the title is shared.
In the Town of Gardner, Algoma shut out Southern Door 6-0. The Wolves saw Cameron Reddemann score two goals and Rodrigo Arvizu, Travis Dawson and Dakota Berg each scored a goal. The rarest of goals occurred when goalie Jake Blazkovec drilled a ball into the back of the net on a penalty kick. He also made eight saves on the day.
Kewaunee hosted Manitowoc Roncalli and was shut out 3-0.
