
In Sturgeon Bay's homecoming game heard on 104.1FM WRLU, the Brillion Lions (6-1) cruised to
a 42-14 victory Friday night in Olympian/Packerland football action. The Lions capitalized on three
Clipper turnovers in the first three minutes of the game to take a commanding 21-0 lead. Eric
Kittel intercepted a tipped pass and returned it 47 yards to give Brillion a 7-0 lead twenty seconds
into the game. A fumbled snap and a fumble on a kickoff turned into two more touchdowns for
Brillion. Sturgeon Bay did respond with a 41 yard run from Junior Blucher to close within 21-6, but
the Lions scored on a 66 yard fake punt run by Brandon Pribberow with 1:51 left before halftime.
Sturgeon Bay's only other score came on a 19 yard pass from Matthew Van Broemer to Ross
Wiersba late in the fourth quarter. Sturgeon Bay (4-3) now must travel to Mishicot next Friday
and win to guarantee a playoff berth. Pre-game will be at 6:30pm with kickoff scheduled for
7:00pm on 104.1FM WRLU.
