De Pere defeated Luxemburg-Casco 25-19, 25-21 in the championship match on Saturday in the De Pere Invitational girls' volleyball tournament. L-C went 3-0 in pool play, and beat Kimberly in the semifinals before dropping the final set to De Pere. For the Spartans, Marissa Kline had 101 assists, 30 kills and 32 digs. Maggie Liebeck had 51 kills and 30 digs; and Kristen Cherney had 52 digs.
In the Bay Port invitational, Kewaunee finished 5-2 to take second place. For the Storm, Kelsey Stangel had 64 kills and 14 blocks; Alex Richard had 57 kills and 13 blocks; Kiley Heim had 128 assists; and Jill Kleiman had 70 digs.
