The Green Bay Packers played just well enough to escape Motor City with a 24-20 win yesterday. A 22-yard game winning touchdown toss from Aaron Rodgers to Randall Cobb brought the Pack back and capped a hard fought NFC North Divisional rivalry game.
Green Bay can now move into a two way tie with the Bears if Chicago loses tonight in San Francisco. The win pushes the Packers' winning streak to five games and their record to (7-3).
The play of the game came from second year defensive back M.D. Jennings. He intercepted Matthew Stafford and returned it for a 72 yard touchdown. Rookie Casey Hayward also intercepted the Detroit quarterback in the game.
Jermichael Finley had his best game of the season including two huge catches. The first was a 20 yard touchdown catch that kept Green Bay in the game. The other was a 40 yard drive extending catch in the Packers' game winning drive with a little over two minutes remaining in regulation.
The Packers next play in New York against the Giants on Sunday Night Football.
