The "Hides For Camp" program helps blind, handicapped and children with diabetes attend a week long summer camp in Rosholt, Wisconsin. Forestville-Maplewood Lions Club members Tom Mueller and Hank Gilson were guests last night on WRLU's Deer Hunters Round-Up at Richard's Pub and Grill. Each plays a pivotal role in the "Hides For Camp" program.
Tom Mueller talked about how important this camp is for the Northern Wisconsin Lions Club.

Hunters interested in dropping off hides locally can make their donation at the Q-Mart Gas Station in Sturgeon Bay, Uni-Mart in Forestville and the 57 Depot in Baileys Harbor.
Last year 8,000 hides were collected in Northern Wisconsin. Mueller said approximately 100 hides equal an opportunity for one child to attend camp free of charge. 1360 handicap children attended the camp in Rosholt last year. Locally 745 hides have been collected in the three years by the F-M Lions. Door County had five and Kewaunee County sent seven kids to the camp last year.
Deer Hunters Round-Up broadcast on 104.1 FM WRLU will be at Howie's Tackle and Archery of Door County tonight from 6-7 PM. Door County Conservation Warden Chris Kratcha will be our guest along with archery expert Nick Nault.
