High School Girls Basketball Season Opens

Sturgeon Bay opened the high school girls basketball season with an impressive 55-30 win over Green Bay West. Linnea Schmelzer scored a game-high 15 points to start her senior season on the right foot. Sturgeon Bay turned a four point first quarter lead into a 14 point halftime lead and kept the pedal to the metal the rest of the way.
