The eighth and final show of the 2012 edition of Deer Hunters Round Up was broadcast last night at Richard's Pub and Grill in Maplewood. A $1,600 Benelli rifle was raffled off and our Whitetails Unlimited muzzleloader was given away at a packed house finale.
The show grew in popularity again this year with unique guests each night. A lot more hunting stories were shared on air by Door and Kewaunee County hunters and a good year in the woods meant a lot more fun celebrating each night.
The list of hosts has already been renewed for next year with a waiting list started for area businesses hoping to get a chance to host the longest running hunting show in Northeast Wisconsin. Dennis "The Buck Baggin' Barber" Anschutz, Dave Rady of Smokey Ridge Taxidermy and Nick Freimuth are excited about the chances of growing the show bigger and better again next year.
