Quite possibly the best conference dual in the state of Wisconsin played out last night between Bay Conference foes Luxemburg-Casco and Oconto Falls. The Spartans fended off the Panthers with tremendous performances by their underclassmen in a 39-27 victory.
L-C won their last five matches by major decision, tech fall or pin giving them major bonus points and providing some breathing room near the end of the dual.
The win will certainly keep Luxemburg-Casco as the top-ranked Division 2 team in the state. What the loss will mean to Oconto Fall's state ranking is yet to be seen. They were ranked number 3 in Division 2.

In the Packerland Conference, Sturgeon Bay won four of the five contested matches with Southern Door but the Eagles held on for a 36-32 victory in a battle of forefits. Low numbers for both teams resulted in nine forfeited matches.
The lone win for the Eagles came from Micah King. He picked up a pin in only his 4th match as a varsity wrestler. Sturgeon Bay winners included Spencer Kraemer (pin), Noah Geise (dec), Cole Nebel (tech fall) and Michael Wiegand (pin).
